Q: Cancellation and early return policy

Cancellation Reservations can be canceled free of charge up to 48 hours before the start of the rental. After this period, the full amount of the reservation is due and non-refundable. Early Return We refund unused rental days, but a 48-hour notice period applies. For example, if you have reserved a vehicle for 10 days and decide to end the rental after the 5th day, days 6 and 7 are due, and we will refund the remaining rental period from the 8th day onward.

Driver and Passenger Coverage

When renting a vehicle, the occupants of the vehicle (drivers and passengers) automatically benefit from "All-Risk" insurance. This insurance is included in the rental price and covers all damage except for that suffered by the driver. AVIS Bora Bora does not offer insurance to cover the driver; you should contact your personal insurer for this coverage.

Civil Liability

Regardless of the level of coverage chosen when signing the contract, civil liability insurance is included and covers material and bodily damage that may be caused with the vehicle.

Vehicle Coverage

Material damage and theft of the vehicle remain the responsibility of the customer up to a maximum financial liability:

200,000 F for Eco and Fun Cars
200,000 F for 2-wheelers
250,000 F for cars, SUVs, and family vehicles
300,000 F for premium SUVs
350,000 F for premium convertibles In case of an accident, the deductible amount will be charged to you until the insurance determines the liability of the drivers.

If the insurance declares you not responsible, you will be refunded the full deductible.

If the insurance determines your responsibility (based on the report made following the accident), you will be liable for the repairs to be carried out on the AVIS vehicle up to the maximum amount of the deductible.

We have two agencies: one located at the Vaitape pier (Air Tahiti shuttle pier and cruise ships) and one agency in Matira.

Your reservation can be made for the agency of your choice. It is possible to return the vehicle to any agency.

We can pick you up for free anywhere on the main island (for rentals starting at 6000 XPF). We will take you to the nearest agency.

We do not offer departures from accommodations as this practice is prohibited by law in French Polynesia.

Hire a vehicle from the airport

Accepted Answer

Bora Bora Airport is located on a Motu (small peripheral islet). The airlines offer free shuttles that will take you to the main island in Vaitape. Our Vaitape agency is located at the arrival of these shuttles. Below, you will find a map to help you locate us.

The walking distance is 30 meters.

Hire a vehicle from cruise ship pier

Our Vaitape office is located at the arrival of the cruise ship tenders. The walking distance is approximatively 50 meters. You will find below the access plan to locate our office.
